Daytona Beach was often used for Land Speed Record attempts, particularly in the 1920s and 1930s, often with massive crowds excited to see the exotic machinery make the latest attempts to break the record on the beach. This is one of Malcolm Campbell’s Blue Birds making an attempt at the record.
